Pregnancy yoga for every body.

No need to have done it before, be flexible or even own lycra.

The first three months of pregnancy can hit haaaarrrd; the sickness, the nausea; the wondering when the pregnancy ‘glow’ kicks in? And all the while society expects you to keep it a secret until the magical 12 week scan, leaving you with nobody to share this weird but joyful time with.

Well that is all about to change, because from 12 weeks, right up to full term you can walk into a room full of other women who are in the same boat as you.

Whether you’ve never stepped on a mat before, or you’re a seasoned yogi: you are welcome to join as soon as you’ve had your 12 week scan, right the way up to full term.

Pregnancy yoga with me combines simple but effective breathing techniques and movement that will not only make you feel relaxed in the class, but will be a great part of your toolkit for birth.

My style is pretty relaxed; I will probably mix up my lefts and rights, and might be a bit wobbly in some poses, but the goal is practice over perfection. We finish every session with a guided relaxation, so that you float home, feeling like you have been at your weekly spa break.

Pelvic girdle pain? Carpal Tunnel syndrome? Reflux? All part of the joys of pregnancy, right?

Well, maybe not so much, but pretty much any condition can be accommodated so that you still get the huge benefits of being in a room with other women, going through the same things as you, sharing in the highs and the lows that come with growing a new human.

All classes are taught from my studio which is situated about 10 minutes from Banbury or Brackley and has everything you could need to enjoy a class; the moment that you walk into the studio your shoulders will drop as you feel at home.

Here, you will meet other women going through the same things as you so you can build that ‘village’ that everyone keeps banging on about.

Weekly Booking Option for maximum flexibility (excuse the pun) £14/class

Ideal if your baby is due part way through the term or if you know that you can’t make every session. Add the individual dates to your basket to secure the spots you want across the term.

Termly booking for best value and consistency, equates to £12/class

This is the best way to guarantee your spot and really get to know everyone else in the class with you.

I release the dates for the next term about half way through the current one. Existing clients are given priority access to keep their place and then I notify my subscribers list.

Classes regularly get fully booked, so get your name on my email list by adding it here:

Frequently asked questions about pregnancy yoga

As soon as you have had your 12 week scan you are good to go. I recommend starting as soon as you can to build muscle memory and make the movement feel really familiar. This will make the movements feel more instinctive during labour and birth as there are huge similarities between the yoga movements and birth movements.

No! In fact I would say 90% of the women in my classes have not done any form of yoga before, so you will be with people in the same boat. The movements that we practise are simple and accessible and follow a similar pattern each week so you will soon feel confident with the movements.

Yes, absolutely! Because due dates rarely coincide with term dates I am really pleased to be able to offer a weekly booking option so that you can either fit classes around your busy schedule, or as you approach your due date. But I would always recommend booking in for as many sessions as you can at once so that you get to know the other people in the class as the weeks go by.

Pregnancy yoga is a very safe practice and in many cases can alleviate many pregnancy related conditions, but I would recommend mentioning these when booking, or discussing with me prior to booking if you have any concerns.

Classes do book up quite quickly as I cap each class at a maximum of 11, but you can still book in for the remaining number of weeks of the term if there is space available.
